The daughter of Irish immigrants, I was born in Stockport in NW England. After 23yrs in the British Civil Service, I moved to Tenerife and became a successful travel writer. In 2021 my memoir - The Banana Road - was published. I am currently writing my first novel, a historical fiction trilogy.
