Bookish recipes are so much fun to make! Especially when they're inspired by a celebration train tour in a fantasy universe.
I made two Starfire Express themed recipes this week (here: https://www.katherinedgraham.com/blog/starfire-express-recipe-card-downloads ).
The Troll Sisters' Chicken Salad Sandwiches is inspired by one of the opening chapters of the book.
June (a Human) can't find any decent food to eat among the monsters' buffet, save for a single cart of triangle, crustless, tea-sandwiches special ordered by 4 troll sisters in sundresses and straw hats.
The other recipe is Squishy's "Inky" (black bean) Soup.
This one I found irresistible to include, since the baby squid-headed humanoid (Squishy) wins June's adoration early on in the story.
No email sign-ups or anything required. ☺️
Which one would you try?
Patrick W. Andersen – My wife loves trying new recipes. I'll forward her the link to your blog.
I hope your NaNoWriMo project is going well. I didn't participate this year because my second novel, Acts of the Women, was just published this month, and I'm focusing on promotion. It's a difficult sell because of the topic. It's a biblical tale but not one you'll find in the Bible. The men gave speeches and wrote the history books, but the women did most of the work.
Katherine D. Graham – @patrickandersen Thank you so much for your comment and for sharing my blog with your wife. :-) I hope you guys enjoy them!
And congrats on your book launch! That's so exciting. I totally get it; NaNoWriMo is time consuming for sure.
