– Hello Joe, thanks for the great questions. 1. The maggots in my head! I naturally have lots of ideas crawling around my brain. Getting them down on paper is the best way to expurge them so I can enjoy brief stints of peace and quiet until the next brood hatches out! 2. I have very ecclectic tastes in my reading. I don't really have an absolute favourite writter. Every author has their own style and flavour and I love to experience how each cooks up a story in a different way. Sometimes, I read two or more books in parallel so I can better compare technique. The book I've certainly read the most is Aldous Huxley's 'Brave New World'. I make a habit of reading it once every 5 years and ticking off the latest predictions to have come true. 3. Recently, I've been mostly focusing on reading and reviewing books here on Reedsy Discovery and on my favourite mutual critique website. Probably the last physical paper book I read was Neil Gaiman's 'Norse Mythology', but that was maybe over a year ago now.
