Synopsis
*Warriors of an ancient order chosen to protect the realms of men from
the influence of evil face a secret alliance that threatens to bring upon
revelation and the birth of a second age.*
The Great Divide…
Two powers collided in an epic battle between the Creator and creation.
The result birthed the duality of consciousness, the conception of good
and evil, right and wrong, yen and yang.
Throughout the expanse of time, countless atrocities committed in the
pursuit of power by the Almighty's latest creation, man, have thrown off
the spiritual balance once again. It must be set right before another
divide begins.
Sensing the end, an unlikely alliance of outcasts from other dimensions
form a nefarious plot to bring about the destruction of the realms of man.
Can this evil be undone by the brotherhood sworn to protect it, or will the
man’s actions unleash the destroyer of worlds?
Join Lucis the Bringer of Light, Stevyn ‘The Beast’, Gaudfridus' The
Conqueror,' and all twelve Knights of the Trinity as they battle to save
the realms of men…from themselves.
The Seventh Spark by J.B. Lion is an exciting and thought provoking new fantasy story that deals with honor, oaths, duty, and the balance between good and evil. This is the first volume of The Knights of the Trinity series, and after reading this installment I am eagerly awaiting the next! This story centers on the knights of the trinity and their protection of various worlds.
I found the world-building in this story to be outstanding. The author provided a clear backdrop for the story with just enough explanation and description to keep me hungry for what happened next. But while the world-building was amazing, my absolute favorite aspect of this book was the way in which it was presented, that is, in a graphic fiction format. Not only did I get all the wonderful world building elements that occur in regular fiction, but I also got to experience the story through its visual medium as well, which was really enjoyable and refreshing.
I really loved this book. Primarily, it made me contemplate why I have always loved the fantasy genre so much. Even if you are tired of the fantasy genre I guarantee there will be something for you to love about this book! It takes many old school fantasy traditions and adds new, refreshing and unique elements that I found absolutely incredible. I would highly recommend this to readers are looking for their fantasy stories to be intense and will stay with you long after you finish. Any fantasy fan who loves the work of John Gwynne, R.A. Salvatore, and Mark Lawrence is absolutely bound to also love this book as well. This book is a must read!
I would heartily recommend this book to fans of the fantasy genre who love excellent world building and that strive to break into new territories within the fantasy genre. The strongest point of this book, which I mentioned earlier, is the visual representation of the story and if you love immersive stories that stretch the boundaries of your imagination and thought processes I think you would find this book as enjoyable as I did! This book really does have it all; fantastic world-building, interesting characters, beautiful graphics, and a story that will keep you on the edge of your seat.
