Must read 🏆

Jennifer Tremblay did an amazing job again, when she wrote and illustrated this perfect bedtime story.

Synopsis

The Shadow Monster is hungry.

He can't help himself when he smells something delicious inside four - year - old Nick's house, despite being scared of humans. He follows his nose to the bedroom and is about to eat his quarry when things go sideways!

Nick and the Shadow Monster is a heart warming tale about the monster that hides under the bed and in the closet... from the monster's perspective!

Nick and the Shadow Monster, written by Jennifer Tremblay, is the perfect bedtime story. If you are looking for a story that will help your little ones face their bedtime worries, then look no further - pick up a copy of this book at your local bookstore!

The thing I like best about this book is that the author cleverly writes from the Shadow monster's point of view. By doing this, Tremblay posits that shadow monsters may not be as dreadful as children think. I believe this will cause children to even consider befriending one of these supposedly fearful creatures.

As usual, Tremblay's drawings are exceptional; her illustrations are second to none. She knows her audience and does an excellent job of illustrating for them. The illustrations of the shadow monsters would make any child want to hug this beautiful animation.

Tremblay is a talented writer and an exceptional artist, who has figured out how to solve a fear of the dark with this book. While this book is meant for early readers, I would recommend that all children with this fear get a copy of this book. You will be incredibly grateful after picking up Nick and the Shadow Monster at your local library or bookstore.

About the author

Thirty some years ago, I was the kid at the back of the class who cartooned all over everything. I tried growing up for a time, but gave up on that! I have three kids of my own who've inspired me to pursue this dream of writing and illustrating fun stories. view profile
