I'm still going..... I must warn readers this book is likely going to hurt π©
Okay, book 4 of 9.
Taking into consideration that I don't like reviews with spoilers, that's why I avoid writing spoilers into my reviews.
What can I tell you without ruining the story.....
Let's start with the Twins.
Darcey and Tory's character and magical development continue to in a fascinating and intriguing way. They have already experienced alot at their short time at the academy and the pace does not slow down.
π¦ + π₯ = ?
I will be honest, there is alot of filler chapters during this installment. I also find that the Heirs chapters aren't grating on me as much as additional POVs usually do.
However, that does not mean I'm moving to liking authors introduction of new POVs from the initial installments, but with this series. I'm starting to find it adds an additional layer to the story. π
The Heirs are still heartless arseholes and I am firmly in the A.S.S club! I want to see the Twins take their throne, albeit they don't want it.....
Lionel Arcrux is still a tremendous "See You Next Tuesday" after the last installment, The Reckoning, that opinion is solidified within the pages of this one.
What I can tell you is, the last 50-100 pages, OH, MY, GOD!!! π±π±π±π±π±π± It gets gooooooood and dark and feral. Not for the spice, which is there, but when I closed this book, I was feeling those tears!!
My affection towards the characters through this book intensified for both the good and the bad characters. I felt more things during those final chapters for each of these characters than I have not had for most other stories that to this day i love.
I won't lie, I cried ππππ at multiple points at the end of this installment for multiple reasons, for multiple characters. I am not easily emotionally manipulated by book characters but this one, got me!
Maybe it's because I'm so enthralled by the characters and their relatability.....
I do want a happily ever after for those characters I love.... the twins mostly.... but after finishing this book, I can't see that in the stars βοΈ.
Hi, I'm Kirsty. I've loved fiction books since I was a young child and reading is my favourite past time. I read manga, fantasy, horror and the occasional bit of spice πΆπΆ.
