The writer explores the struggles of every writer; having a passion for something outdated, a talent that goes unappreciated because people nowadays prefer to distract themselves with anything instead of allowing themselves to experience a true escape through fiction. The book expresses feelings of being left behind, trapped in a world in which one is made not to feel good enough but constantly ignores the naggings of inner thoughts and cyber bullying, a world that the poet has a love-hate relationship with as she struggles with its beauty and its limitations.
The book also bends time and takes us through the past for which we long, the present that we wish we could change, and the future we struggle to attain as we continue holding on to traumas of the past, unable to stop hurting ourselves.
The poems are arranged in a way that showcases the beginnings of depression and the mingled thoughts as one falls down that slippery slope.
The prose is powerful, elegant, and relatable, I recommend this book to anyone who enjoys poetry, particularly unappreciated artists.

Dew drops hanging from the branches
Golden in the morning sun.
You won’t see them if you run
On by.
The promise of a flower
Ready to burst into petaled glory.
Its beauty lies in the story
Waiting to unfold.
The cat catching rays of light
The smile of a stranger passing.
We chase time, always rushing.
Don’t miss it all.
