Synopsis

Sensitive content

This book contains sensitive content which some people may find offensive or disturbing.

From the cover design and the synopsis at the back of the book, the book draws you in. You can tell that creative and artistic thoughts were put into the design in a way that describes the story even before you start reading it.

The style of writing is so beautiful almost poetic in a way - the words flow seamlessly and are well interwoven.

I love how the story male character expresses his love for the female lead who wasn't expecting it but had longed for it since high school. The story is so lush/wholesome in that it shows you how a loving relationship can develop from a friendship. The story also helps you believe in love after love, just because you've lost someone or have been hurt in the past doesn't mean you don't deserve to be loved - I truly resonate with this.

I love how the story is written in an uncomplicated style, e.g.no need for too many past/flashbacks and overly stressed storylines like most romantic novels do. The book felt like a movie I'd watch on repeat because of how well and creatively it was put together.

I also love and admire how the author approaches the subject of death of a loved one. It was written in a very loving and caring way that makes you the reader empathise with the character who lost a loved one and thereby gaining more understanding as what a character has been shaped that way (e.g. past experiences shape who we become)

Jenna Fiore has a very creative mind as a writer qnd I can't wait to read her other books (I love paper copy of novels so be rest assured that I'd be buying a physical tangible copy or maybe my husband might say my bookshelf is too full 😊).

Let's just that if this book was a movie I'd watch it a thousand times.

This contemporary novel has got Jenna Fiore as my new favourite author.
