Must read 🏆

The best fantasy book I've ever come across which has just touched, hugged, kissed and danced with my heart. <Inserted chef's kiss>

I'd do anything to read this book for the first time.

I am OBSESSED with this book. It had me at the edge of my seat the whole time and I couldn't stop turning the pages. There was a neat plot twist I hadn't seen coming. The ending was soo heartbreaking!!

The plot follows three sisters: Marguerite, Aurora and Hazel Swan who, two centuries ago, had been drowned with stones tied to their ankle. The purpose was baseless, accusing them of witchcraft. It is ever since believed that every summer, the sister's spirits come back on land and stole bodies of three girls. They would then lure boys towards themselves and lead them to the ocean, eventually drowning them.

We get introduced to a character named Bo who is new in the town and has no idea above the floating myth. Eventually he meets Penny Talbot (who is the protagonist and the narrator). Upon confronting the ongoing myths, Bo still finds it difficult to believe the curse that has been bestowed upon the town but the soon placing happenings convince him to the last of his soul. But even after knowing the truth, why isn't he going back? Is he here for some special purpose?

Each have secrets.

Each is broken by their past.

But where would this all lead them?

I found the plot of this book very unique and the spooky, anxious environment that has been built is pretty remarkable. The characters have been perfectly developed, taking you on an unforgettable ride, I bet you'd never want to come out of.

The author, Shea Ernshaw has a very satisfying way of luring its readers. I personally read it in one sitting and couldn't stop thinking about it for days.

I'd recommend everyone to go give this a read!
