"The Sticky Stegosaurus Saga (James Bone Graphic Novel #5)" entertained me from beginning to end.
Do baby dinosaurs need babysitters?
Buckle up because it’s the ‘mother’ of all dinosaur stories as James and friends head to Egg Mountain in the latest saga of the James Bone series that finds the crew in the Wild West.
As you turn the page to find out what cowboys and baby dinosaurs have to do with James, you’ll be catapulted into a whirlwind of an adventure!
This mission might seem easy, but some bad dinos and Boneapart have hornswoggled their way into making trouble for James, Shovel, Pick, and Diggy. Don’t forget… our explorers still have to be back in time for Show and Tell!
Are you ready for another exciting read? Have no fear, James Bone WILL return in…The Slippery Spinosaurus Splat.
Interest Level: Ages 5-13
James and his friends have been assigned to go out West in search of the stegosaurus. Now, you can't be in the West without looking the part, so naturally, they had to go shopping. My youngster would've wanted to go shopping as well.
I loved the stegosaurus facts, such as "Like a ballet dancer, they walked on their toes." And "Some lived on Egg Mountain." When James and his friends started the trek to the mountain, they realized how navigation proved challenging without GPS or a map. Luckily, they had GDS (Global Dinosaur System).
The kids and Dr. Archie Ologist (I love the name, btw) had a scary encounter with a waterfall which led to a fun fact on the page. You'll have to read the book to discover the factoid for yourself.
After their frightening ordeal, they make it to Egg Mountain and find what they are looking for — a stegosaurus. (Again, read the book to discover what they found.) Actually, they found WAY MORE than what they were expecting.
Like the other book in the series by Carole Marsh, The Sticky Stegosaurus Saga (James Bone Graphic Novel #5) entertained me from beginning to end. I loved how the pages were jam-packed with activity. I liked all the humorous moments, the factoids, and the illustrations. Lee Barrow did a phenomenal job on them, and you deserve a big pat on the back!
If you're a dino fan like my family, get this book.
If you're a teacher starting a lesson on dinos, I encourage you to add The Sticky Stegosaurus Saga (James Bone Graphic Novel #5 to your classroom library.
Amazon didn't have a recommended reading age listed, but I suspect kids as young as two will love looking at the dinosaurs. Kids three and up will love listening to or reading this adventurous book. My family did!
I've been constructing reviews for over a decade and don't plan on stopping anytime soon. Most of the reviews will be featured on my blog (Kam's Place), Pinterest, Instagram, BlueSky, and Goodreads. Don't forget to tip your waitress! :D
