Loved it! 😍

A heartwarming tragedy based on the great Greek mythology as written by Homer.

This was a heartwarming tragedy based on the great Greek mythology as written by Homer.

Τhrough the eyes of one of our two protagonists, Patroclus, a tragic love story is told. The plot unfolds around Patroclus and Achilles. When Patroclus is the disappointment of his family, Achilles is every father's dream. The two boys trying to be kept apart by Achilles' mother, a goddess, for her own personal egoistic reasons, due to their strong feelings for each other.

we are all there, the goddess, the mortal and the boy who were both.

Οur author travels back to the Homeric era where ancient Greece was the homeland of philosophy and democracy. The time and place that was selected sets the right mood for a tragic love story like this one.

Through the war, class inequalities, the wrath of the gods and especially the wrath of a mother, once again it becomes apparent that true love conquers everything, even death.

catch, he had told me. Achilles being erased against the backdrop of the sky as he hung from a branch above the river. The warmth of his breath in my ear as he slept. If you have to go, I will come with you. My fears that were forgotten in the golden harbor of his arms.

The writing as well as the plot is excellent, and has you holding your breath at the turn of every page. The more interesting part is the character development between the two main characters despite what the society said about the feelings they were hiding.

It is -without a second thought- one of those books that has you crying, laughing and then cry a bit more by the end of it. An emotional rollercoaster that deserves your time and the collapse of your peace of mind.

The greatest love story has just begun.
