From page one, the author's passion for horses shines through as she excellently captures the thrill of race day and the excitement that young Shani feels. Kids will effortlessly connect with Shani as she animatedly explains the ins and outs of the horse farm.

While the cover and book could benefit from a more professional design, and some of the text may be too difficult for young readers, horse lovers will love it all the same.


The Six Horse is the first in a new series, and readers will walk away from the book having learned more about the world of horses and eager to read the next installment.
