Loved it! 😍

A Perfectly Twisty Mystery. You Will Not Be Able to Guess the Ending!!

Honestly, I don’t remember where I heard about this book first, but since I’ve learned of it’s existence, it has been on my tbr.

While I was visiting my friend (more about that here) we went to Lake City Books. I found it, picked it up, and I bought it! Along with Sandro the turtle, a beautiful copy of Jane Austen’s novels, and a bookmark I have since lost.

Initial Thoughts:

The premise is what really grabbed me, and for awhile, it’s the only thing that was keeping me reading.

But the prose was good enough that I didn’t want to stop, and it was also a pretty quick read.

And then that ending. 😳

I was completely taken by surprise, in the best way. I never would have guessed the ending, and then I kept getting plot twist after plot twist.

But also I think I found a plot hole? Maybe not, but there was something weird I’ll talk about later.

About:

Alicia Berenson murdered her husband and then never spoke again.

Psychotherapist Theo Faber makes it his mission to save her.

Good: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This book worked. I didn’t realize it was a mystery until towards the end, but that aspect of it worked well.

The only think that I thought was a sort of plot hole was the weather mentioned. I could be wrong, but I want to read it again and check a few things out.

The set up was done really well, it kept my reading.

Even though I couldn’t guess the plot twists, they still worked.

Clean: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

There was some language, and an intimate scene, but it wasn’t described too much.

Fun: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✨

Uh, well, I was kind of bored throughout the story, and then the end got me.

I really can’t talk much about this story because I don’t want to give away the ending, but I highly recommend it.
