This book starts with a diary entry of Alicia stating how much she loves her husband. She quotes, 'I love Gabriel so much. He is without doubt the love of my life. I love him totally, completely, sometimes it threatens to overwhelm me. Sometimes I think- No. I won't write about it'. And then we move to the next page to discover that Alicia Berenson killed her husband. This book gives you two perspectives of the story. One the diary entry of Alicia, giving us her perspective, her thoughts and her feelings and another is the perspective of Theo Faber. Theo a psychotherapist who has convinced himself that he is the perfect person to treat Alicia (to make Alicia speak).

This book is absolutely mind blowing. I bought this book on a whim (actually it's my birthday gift😁). I had little bit idea that this one will be a psychological thriller but apart from this fact, nothing else🌝.

While going through the story, to some extent I made a guess what might be the reason for Alicia to kill her husband but the way the story was moulded, and finally when the much awaited twist or the secret gets revealed ...believe me it left me astonished. I was staring at the book to recover myself from the shock.😁.

Alicia Berenson who had a disturbed childhood and similar was the childhood circumstances for Theo. Both sharing a similar background, will they be able to connect with each other ?
