Must read 🏆

Fantastic! What more can I say? Imagine crossing the spiritual writings of Coelho with wit and humour. Not to be missed!

Synopsis

Maya, a complicated young woman with a gift for black humour and self-deprecation, is on a misguided quest for self-knowledge, wisdom and spiritual mastery…but only if the quest provides the answers she likes!
Looking for her life’s purpose, Maya embarks on a remarkable and transformative journey of self-discovery. We follow her in a unique blend of spirituality, magical realism and folklore. Each step on her spiritual path is a struggle often with hilarious and near catastrophic results. Along the way, we share the life-changing wisdom she learns under the guidance of Andres, a mysterious South American shaman. Why, she constantly asks, is the spiritual life so complicated?
Will Maya be strong enough to accept her gift as a Sin Eater and complete the journey towards humility, trust and faith? Maya’s story is an encounter about facing our fears and admitting our mistakes; facing and coming to terms with the past; searching for acceptance and forgiveness, and finding the courage to confront life’s challenges.
The Shadow Whisperer is a story with the power to inspire and change people’s lives. Jennifer S. Hartley is an enchanting storyteller, inspiring people to see beyond the ordinary and into the remarkable.

Don't miss out on reading this !!

I have to say that when I started reading this book it was practically impossible to stop until I finished. It is definitely captivating reading: the narrative, the content, the spiritual search... these are emotional moments. The book has taught me about love and in the process I journeyed with Maya around the eorld. I laughed and cried with her. I questioned and doubted with her. I shared her frustrations.

This book made me think about life and our purpose and why we need a purpose beyond simple existence. I am an avid reader of Coelho and this book reminded me a great deal of his work but with the added gift of humour. Very very funny at times with some memorable moments that still make you laugh long after you have finished reading.

We are all Maya – troubled, trying our best, stumbling, making mistakes and struggling to understand our place in a world gone mad. A Highly appropriate book for 2020!

This is brave writing, exposing evil in its various forms and finding the best in all of us. Yet does it in a way that grips the reader from start to finish and leaves you wanting more
