Must read 🏆

This is the first book of Taylor Jenkins Reid that I've read and I already want to buy every single one of her books.

This is the first book of Taylor Jenkins Reid that I've read and I already want to buy every single one of her books. It took me two days to read The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo and I regret not taking my time reading it.

The first day of reading this book, I noticed that I was holding my breath and clenching my jaw whenever Evelyn was talking about the bad parts of her life. I just absolutely love Evelyn and Monique, both of women strong, independent, they know what they want and how to get it. I got a bit emotional by the time I finished reading. I was emotional and so was the book. The ending was sad but in a "its ok, life moves on and so do we" kind of way. I was kind of expecting the ending but it was a good ending to a fantastic book.

I've watched a lot of reviews on TikTok and Instagram and I definitely with one review. I can't annoyingly can't remember who said it but whoever it was said that reading The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo was like reading a biography of Evelyn Hugo, as if she was an actual person. I almost wanted to search for Evelyn on Google just to double check that she was, in fact, a fictional character. Another thing that was said that I agree with is that the song The Lucky One by Taylor Swift is the perfect song for this book. And it is. I must've listened to it a thousand times by the time I finished reading.

So yeah that's it. I recommend The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo to everyone because you will not be disappointed at all. I can definitely see myself rereading this many many times in the future.

Hello there! I'm Lauren. I was stuck on reading just classics up until January this year. However, I am working on reading other genres and broadening my horizons! I started reviewing books this year and I can honestly say it's one of the best things I've ever done.
