I wish I had read this book as a child. Maybe, I might have discovered a way out of all problems.

The secret garden tells the story of a secret garden and how its discovery changed the life of Mary and others. The story begins with the life of 10-year-old Mary Lennox who moves from India to her Uncle's place in Yorkshire, after the death of her parents and eventually finds a comfortable place for her. She was born in India and her parent's cold behavior made her a rude child. In Yorkshire, she befriends a gardener named Ben Weatherstaff, Dickon, a boy who talks to animals, and her cousin Colin.Mary discovers many mysteries around her uncles' place including a secret garden that fascinated her the most. The secrets of the garden begins with Mary finding the key with the help of a robin.

🌹My favorite character is Dickon and his mother. It's still a mystery how Dickon communicates with the birds and animals. Is he a magician ..? Or is it the inhabitants of the garden? 

🌹when I picked this book, I expected fairies or some kind of magic, Kind of a fantasy. But, I loved the story seems to be genuine narrating the beauty and its power to heal everything. The secret garden is an amazing tale that narrates the affection of children to nature. I always loved this kind of story, because I enjoy little things from nature, like a bird chirping, the squirrels, and the breeze.

This book will help out you to overcome self-doubt, negative thoughts .

🌹My first take on Burnett's work was A Little Princess, a children's classic I will recommend to everyone especially children. I fell in love with her writing as soon as I started reading that story. I must say, she has created some amazing female characters of ages 10 and 12.
