Not your normal, run of the mill action-packed mystery novel. It is so much better.
Ian Conner’s “The Long Game,” is one of those books that you just can’t put down.
Amy Radigan, a reporter with the San Diego Times, goes deep into cover as she finds the story of the lifetime – a political and governmental cover-up at a nuclear station.
Ian Conner’s gifts as a writer shine through as he inks a novel filled with creative expression, detailed descriptions and a well-developed plot line that keeps readers glued to their pages.
The suspense begins when Amy finds out what happened, and figures just how high the cover-up goes – maybe not to POTUS but close. She is not sure who she can trust. Soon her life, and the life of her girlfriend are put in danger as more secrets are revealed.
This is one of those stories that reminds me of Bruce Willis’ Die Hard films – lots of action, lots of drama, lots of mystery, and you do not want it to end.
I would highly recommend this for readers of James Patterson and other crime and mystery writers. Strong female, LGTBQ characters among all the manly, secret agents make for an intriguing novel for sure.
Might make for a good book club read as well - adults.
