Must read 🏆

A great story for all ages, people doing their best under very difficult times

The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society is one of the few books I have read in a good while that I have passed on to a friend to read. It is a wonderful tale of people surviving during war, stuck on and island, fear and sadness are overcome by love and commitment at a huge price. I highly recommend this book to all ages.

War is never a fun adventures, there is always death, hardship and a struggle for survival on both sides. What one does not expect is the events in the lives of the cast, the everyday, normal and not so normal things that go one during war and between two people.

The war story may seem faint, but for me it was a story statement, that no one can manage to push love out of two people simply because the are not fighting on the same side. But then, what does one do when the so called hero falls in love with the enemy, is it even possible, what would the down think, what would the family think being that so many family members are at war with those attacking the place where you live, the place where you grew up, went to school and baked cookies for Sunday church.
