Must read 🏆

Alluring mystery which keeps you awake all night with unpredictable twists and turns!

"Life is not a paragraph and death is no parenthesis..!!"

The Girl on the Trainis a psychological thriller which blows up readers mind with a well-woven plot. This book is a masterpiece in character study and development. The story is told from the perspective of three characters. The protagonist of the story, Rachel Watson, a strong female character, unveils the dark secret around her - exposing the harsh realities of love and obsession.

SHORT SUMMARY:
Rachel, a moody girl, faces a hard time in recovering from her recent divorce and from her inability to conceive a child. This sets up her life in a destructive mode. She discovers a happy couple (who reminds her of her good old memories) from the train.
Rachel always takes the same train every
morning and sees a couple (Meghan & Scott)
having a perfect life. Until something shocking happens, when she finds out that Meghan has gone missing, and she finds herself caught in a mystery, but she can't remember, as she has a heavy drinking problem. So the story moves along briskly and alternate chapters between the women and how they look into a same situation in different ways. This mystery suddenly turns her life upside down and she finds herself struck in the case inevitably.

This is a perfect thriller and a must-read book with an age-restriction. The depth of the plot with a heart-stopping revelation at the end is a point which is indeed to be noted! This mind-blogging novel will keep you on the edge of the seat!

The main characters (Rachel Watson, Megan Hipwell, Scott Hipwell, Anna Watson, Tom Watson) has been given an attractive and detailed description with unique thoughts.

Constantly blaming herself, she keeps replaying hurtful moments pertaining to her and Tom, such as her calling him 'a useless husband'. Rachel believes women are still

valued for their looks and roles as mothers, and as much as I want to oppose it, reality says otherwise. I despise the characters Scott and Tom, such despicable,

disgusting men. I can't stand Anna either; she keeps calling Rachel 'fat' as mockery, and saying things like, "There is not a man on earth who would pick her over me".

A vital message Paula Hawkins tries to convey in this novel through the protagonist Rachel is that : "Effort must be taken from both the sides of a relationship with an important thing called loyalty for a healthy and happy bonding". Even though the suspense is only revealed in the end pages of the novel, it is worth waiting for!

Paula Hawkins had written the novel so beautifully that makes the readers to immerse in the world of mysteries. To find out how a train journey had changed the course of five people's lives, grab a book and read!!
