A wonderful story that is beautifully illustrated. I read it with my son a thousand times. A classic to be saved for the next generation.
A wonderful children’s story that captivates children and adults alike. It has been read so many times in my household that I can quote whole sections of the text! The lexile rating is AD540L which means that it is suitable for prep to year 5 (guided reading for younger readers).
The illustrations are wonderful and really draw young (and old!) readers into the story. This has a place on the family bookshelf alongside other timeless classics like Maurice Sendak’s - Where The Wild Things Are.
