I appreciate Daisy Johnson's Sisters due to its experimental narrative language and the rich concept of the Existence or reality.
In her novel Sisters, Daisy Johnson implied to the multiple levels of the presence of September, that we can recognize the character of the narrator's sister in many levels and several contexts. She had realistic, figurative, cosmic, spectral, dreamy, mythical and symbolic forms of her singular presence in the cognitive world of the narrator.
Consequently, we can notice some creative and rich significations behind the new place which they moved to, that it included the tones of joy, horror, loudness, the other life of memories, the other life of the old tales and the metaphoric layers of the place in consciousness and unconsciousness.
Additionally, while I was reading Daisy Johnson's novel, I remembered the concepts of the specters according to Derrida, the realistic simulacra according to Baudrillard and the narrative interpretations of the phenomena according to Paul Ricœur, that the sister September had a wide behind the borders of time and physical world. Also, she appeared as a playful and transformative specter or as a simulacrum in the narrator's reality. Furthermore, she appeared as a phenomenon which required rich semantics, such as the interactions between the presence levels, the hidden activity of September in the deep world of the narrator or the superfluity of the images which affected others and recreate their development.
Moreover, we can notice that September transformed her metaphoric image in many signs in the novel, such as the black dreamy bird in the unconsciousness of the narrator, the simulacrum of black holes in the speaker's viewpoint and the playful shadow which crossed the walls after death. Therefore, the narrator confirmed the experimental sides of the structures of character, event and place.
Further, Daisy Johnson development her characters in an experimental context, that the narrator was transformed from her identity and her memories to the wide and circular connection with her sisters specters and metaphors. Also, September was transformed from the realistic loud life in the real context to the worlds of the imaginary cosmic phenomena. Also, the narrator revealed September's strange, performative and dynamic adventures behind spaces and the simple fields of vision.
In this experiential context, we discover the renewed rhythm of September, that she was like the crescendo in her heightened imaginary appearance.
Finally, I appreciate Daisy Johnson's Sisters due to its experimental narrative language, its dynamic presence of the main characters and the figurative, hyper levels of the concept of the existence.
