Romance Blooms 2
A Magic Tap
The sun sank low and the dusk stole in.
The fairies danced
and the whippoorwill sang.
He held her hand as they walked the trail,
twas so enchanting it seemed not real.
The fairies tapped their wands on them.
Twas a magic tap and the magic began.
The two did sparkle. The two did dance.
Twas the beginning of a magic romance.
A Pretty Sight
Let us sit beneath the moon
and gaze upon the stars.
They twinkle in the night,
as though they’re only ours.
Naught else could be so pretty,
as the glimmer in the night;
save the view I have of you,
for you’re a pretty sight.
A Shelter
The gentle snow became
something of a blizzard.
She was very glad
That he was with her
.
They found a shelter
in a cabin nearby.
Since no one was home,
they dared go inside.
.
As the blizzard flared,
they sat a bit closer.
The fire that they’d built
made the room cozier.
.
What they, both, enjoyed
was the warmth that they shared.
Though the blizzard raged
they no longer cared
As the Music Plays
As the music plays,
I look deep into your eyes.
I see myself in them,
with a love I cannot hide.
.
I, too, can see myself
in your eyes of blue.
It is a happy me,
that knows you love me, too.
.
It’s been many a year
since you told me, you’d be mine.
Each year is sweeter
than the one that’s left behind.
Bedazzled
There was a maiden, oh so fair,
but she was locked away.
Punished for her innocence,
she thought she’d ever stay.
.
Then one day, a prince did come,
who heard of her despair.
He thought to go and talk with her,
so went to see her there.
.
Her beauty so bedazzled him
that he could hardly speak.
She told him of the many lies.
He felt she was guilt free.
.
The prince did plead his case for her.
The judge was then persuaded.
He gently took her by the hand
and they were prince and maiden.
For Forever
She was from the North side
and he from the South.
They were told to be foes,
but their love won out.
.
Their families knew not
of their secret love.
They wouldn’t understand
what their love was made of.
.
But her father saw
the two of them together
and he forbade her
to see him for forever.
.
The two of them pledged
to never say “goodbye”.
They chose to do the opposite,
as husband and as wife.
Music on the Wind
Music on the wind
endearing with its sound,
drew her closer to it
as it did resound.
.
She looked and saw
the violin he held.
His touch upon the strings,
the joy of it, she felt.
.
She danced upon the wind
as, the violin, he played.
The two were enraptured
by the music of the day.
