A Scandalous and Emotional Page-Turner of a Novel. Shocking and Suspenseful. In terms of read-throughs, "one still ain't enough"

Synopsis

Sensitive content

This book contains sensitive content which some people may find offensive or disturbing.

One Still Ain't Enough by Mo Flames is a page-turner of a novel that will keep you guessing until the very end. The story centers around Desiree Thompson, a successful global director of a financial firm, as she navigates through a tumultuous love life filled with abuse, heartbreak, and forbidden love. The characters in this book will have you on the edge of your seat, wondering what will happen next and feeling frustrated with their sometimes foolish actions.

The book is full of surprises and suspense, with each chapter bringing new drama and twists to the plot. The author, Mo Flames, expertly drops readers right in the middle of the action, creating an engaging and fast-paced read that is hard to put down. The story centers around Desiree, but there are multiple main characters, each with their own story and drama, that add depth and complexity to the plot.

The plot is well-crafted and has a good thematic plot that ties everything together. The author knows how to end a book with a cliffhanger that leaves readers wanting more. However, I would have loved to see more of the background story of the characters to understand their motivations behind their actions. This would have made the characters seem less superficial and more authentic.

The writing style is engaging and the characters are well-developed. The author has done an excellent job of creating complex and dynamic characters that are easy to relate to. The steamy love scenes, major drama, and jaw-dropping, shocking plot twists will keep you hooked till the very last page. I would only recommend this book to 18+ readers and the audience. The meaningful thing that I gathered from this book is that one should always know the art of settling oneself down in case of any trouble or hurdles.

Overall, One Still Ain't Enough is a must-read for anyone who loves a scandalous, dangerous and emotional read. The author, Mo Flames, has done an excellent job of creating a novel that is both entertaining and thought-provoking. The book is filled with relatable themes and will leave you questioning your own beliefs and values. I would rate it a 4.5 out of 5 for its innovative nature and spectacular storytelling skills and character arcs. If you're looking for a juicy and engaging read that will keep you on the edge of your seat, then One Still Ain't Enough is the book for you.

Oh shit! Of all the people to be on the same plane with her, why did it have to be him? Desiree’s eyebrows furrowed as she asked, “What are you doing here?”

He stepped back, looked around the cabin, and responded sarcastically, “I could’ve sworn this plane was heading to LA, which means I’m going home.”

Desiree smiled sheepishly. “I know that. It’s just that I wasn’t expecting to see you.

“Well, I had business to handle with a client.” He looked around again. “You here alone? Where’s your husband?”

She waved her hand dismissively. “Yeah, he’s not here.”

“Hmm, I see. Since he isn’t, could I get a better greeting? Perhaps a hug?” He opened his arms. She unfastened the seat belt and stood to embrace the tall, well-built man. He pulled his lower lip into his mouth and lowered his eyes. They caressed her body with lusting, invisible fingers. He flashed a mischievous grin.

“Aaron, what are you―”

Her words were lost when he wrapped his arms around her and swooped in to steal a kiss. Then he nuzzled his face in her hair, his hot breath tickling her ear.

He whispered in a deep, husky voice, “Look, Desiree, I understand. It’s not every day that you run into the man you’ve been fucking on the side, especially when he’s supposed to be on the opposite side of the country.” She felt her cheeks grow warm as he squeezed her tighter. He pulled away and frowned. “Why are you so tense? Is everything all right?”

Desiree glanced over his shoulder at the people inching by to get past them. She rotated her neck and whispered, “First of all, you’re not the man I’m fucking on the side. You know how much I hate that word. We don’t fuck. And I’m fine. It’s been a busy week and an even more chaotic weekend. I have a lot on my mind with this new merger I’m managing.”

Just then, one of the flight attendants approached, instructing them to take their seats. Aaron motioned for Desiree to move over to the empty seat next to her.

“But that’s somebody’s seat.”

“Okay, and you can move when they get here.”

Desiree wished the person were there already or that Aaron would take his ass to his own row.

“Go ahead. Scoot over.”

She didn’t know who Aaron thought he was, demanding her to do anything. She really wasn’t in the mood. Then he flashed a full, pearly-white smile, exposing deep dimples in both cheeks. She cut her eyes, blew out a short breath and moved into the vacant window seat. Once they sat down, Aaron began probing her. He wanted to know why she hadn’t contacted him in the previous month. Her annoyed expression said it all, and before she could respond, he stopped her.

“I know what you said, but I thought we were friends. You can still call. Or you mean to tell me things are so good between you and Jamal that you conveniently forgot about me?”

Desiree wasn’t about to admit that her husband wasn’t the reason she’d forgotten about him, or that he wasn’t the one she’d been preoccupied with anyway. She responded coolly, “I’ve just been busy.”

“That busy?”

“Yes, that busy.” And it was the truth. The new merger she’d been assigned to demanded more time than she was used to. Unlike previous projects that had her traveling to LA or out of the country, this one required her to be on-site in Atlanta. Before Aaron could question her about anything else, she asked him about the client he’d been there to work with over the weekend.

“It was Samuel Pryce, and it’s still under negotiations, so I’m not supposed to discuss anything about it, but you know him. They’re planning another takeover. He had us holed up in the Westin all day, and I didn’t have any free time. Otherwise, I would’ve stopped by the office, called, or texted.”

“Aaron, you know that would’ve been too risky.”

“Yeah, but that didn’t stop you before.”

She felt her cheeks warming again.

“Relax, Desiree. I told you I know how to play my position. Now tell me, why didn’t you let me know you were going to be in LA?” He smiled, revealing his dimples again. “Or were you trying to sneak up on me?”

Aaron Moretti was an undeniably handsome attorney she’d met the year before during a major acquisition she’d been in charge of. He’d headed up the legal team for one of the clients. When she traveled to LA, the two would meet for cocktails and dinner to discuss progress made during negotiations. In the final days of the acquisition, they ended up getting closer than she’d intended.

He interrupted her thoughts, “Well, were you?”

“This was a last-minute trip. I didn’t find out until late yesterday.” She lied, “Once I got settled in, you know I would’ve called.”

Desiree knew why Aaron was persistent in wanting clarity on their status. Initially, their interactions had been cordial and professional. But naturally, as they worked closely together for so many months, they began sharing intimate details about their personal lives. Things weren’t going well for her and Jamal, and Desiree wanted a man’s perspective. She didn’t see the harm, so she started confiding in Aaron.

When she considered everything that happened between them afterward, she knew it was the opening Aaron had been waiting for. Desiree’s thoughts took her back to the night of their eventful encounter.

After a long week of intense meetings, the staff met up for drinks. Hours later, Desiree and Aaron were the only two remaining after the rest of their team had left. Rather than letting her take a cab, Aaron offered to drive her back to the hotel. When they arrived, he hastily jumped out, and Desiree noticed he had given his keys to the valet before opening her door. It wasn’t until they were in the lobby that Aaron spoke. “I think you’ve had too much to drink tonight, Desiree. I’m going to make sure you get to your room safely.”

“Trust me, I’ll be fine, Aaron. Thank you for making sure I made it here safely. I’ll see you in a couple of weeks. Have a good night.”

Desiree walked away, but she felt him close on her heels with each step. Finally, she stopped and tried to turn around. He grabbed her arm and pulled her close. Before she could speak, Aaron covered her lips, gently sucking her lower lip into his mouth. Then his tongue slipped past her teeth and tangled with hers. The slight hint of Louis XIII Cognac on his tongue mixed with the wine on hers made an intoxicating, delicious flavor. She pressed her body closer to him. He sucked slowly and gently, but hard enough to make her knees buckle. When she realized what was happening, Desiree raised her hands to his chest and pushed him away. “What do you think you’re doing?”

Aaron ignored her and bent his head to kiss her again. She turned away. He grabbed her chin, forcing her to face him. He flashed a mischievous grin, showing his dimples.

“No. We can’t do this,” she whispered.

“Oh, yes we can.”

“Aaron, I’m married, and you have a—”

He smothered her protest. This time, their kiss lasted longer, and Desiree didn’t put up much of a struggle. Minutes later, they were fumbling around in the darkness of her hotel room.

“Where’s the light switch, Desiree?”

“I-I . . . uh . . . I don’t know. I can’t see,” she giggled.

She didn’t think she’d had that much wine over dinner, but combined with her rushing adrenaline, it was enough to make her feel tipsy. Her inhibitions were gone. They were replaced with a horny desire and confidence that she would never get caught.

After kissing and fondling, they managed to turn on the lamp a few minutes later. Desiree backed away from him until she felt the corner of the bed against her legs. She sat down and moved to the middle of the bed. She released the button and unzipped her skirt. He finished pulling it down her legs. She spread her thighs apart, and Aaron quickly positioned himself between them. He slowly unbuttoned her blouse, and she seductively let it slip off her arms. He traced the edges of her laced bra, slipped his hands behind her back, and unhooked it, exposing the supple mounds.

He bent forward, cupping both breasts. His tongue produced wet circles around her areolas. He sucked until they pointed at attention. Desiree released his dark hair from its bun, ran her fingers through the long, soft curls, and pressed his head closer. He reached for the top of her panties. After sliding them over her feet, he spread her legs apart and bent forward, burying his face between her thighs. Desiree’s body responded almost immediately. He continued to play with her button as juices trickled down his chin. He exposed more of the tight, pink flesh, and his thick tongue slid in and out. He repeated the movements slowly then increased the tempo.

Desiree moaned, “Mmm, don’t stop!” Aaron pushed his tongue in deeper as she held on to his head tightly. “Yes, right there! Yes! Yes!”

He didn’t stop until the sheets were drenched. Finally, he pulled away long enough to remove his clothing. Desiree heard the condom wrapper open. He returned to the bed and positioned himself between her thighs. She felt a smooth digit glide over her clit. He rubbed gently, keeping her aroused. Her legs opened wider, welcoming his finger play on her swollen button. His next movements were slow, but when he finally entered Desiree’s cavern of heat, she gasped.

He bragged, “Bet you didn’t think I’d be working with all this.”

She didn’t. Men like him came with the “small dick and no work” stigma attached. However, he’d surprised her with his oral skills and well-endowed package. She held on to his forearms. His girth stretched her, and he began to move inside her. The sensation in her abdomen was so intense it sent chills through every cell in her body. She convulsed from his slow, deep strokes. He watched in satisfaction as she experienced the first orgasm.

“Your cum face is sexy as fuck, Desiree. I want to see it again.”

Her eyes flew open when his hands tightened around her neck. Fear flashed through her mind. The last time she experienced being choked was at the hands of her ex-boyfriend, Troy. Desiree’s eyes bulged in fright. She panicked and started to squirm.

Aaron stared deeply into her eyes as he spoke gently, “Shhh, Desiree, I need you to relax. Trust me. I’m not going to hurt you. Not ever. I just want to you to experience the next orgasm with a little breath play. Will you allow me to give you that?”

His bold eyes raked her soft skin, promising pleasure. Aaron pulled out almost all the way, then plunged deep. He continued stroking slowly but with more force. His grip around her neck tightened, and it did something to her. He added more pleasure, as promised. She couldn’t believe he was turning her on that much. The lust between them exploded. She stared into his eyes as he delivered another stroke. Then her body went taut. Her vaginal muscles tightened, and liquid fire streamed through her body.

“Fuck!” he growled. He was going to lose control. He relaxed the grip he had on her neck and took a moment to gather his composure. Desiree didn’t want him to stop. She was so close, so desperately close to releasing. She grabbed his ass, then lifted and rotated her hips. Aaron matched her slow motion. Her moans, coupled with his grunting, increased with the wet noises that filled the room. It wasn’t long before he felt her walls clutching his thick muscle again. Then he pushed her knees back and sped up his rhythm. Stroke after stroke, he pummeled away.

A wild orgasm ripped through Desiree, then another. Her entire body shuddered, her head tilting back in exploding ecstasy. “Yes! Yes! Oh my god, yes!” she shouted.

Aaron gritted his teeth against the oncoming sensation and couldn’t hold back any longer. His body jerked hard, every muscle tight, as he filled the condom. As he regained control of his breathing, he rested between Desiree’s thighs, nestling his head between her breasts. Desiree savored the moment of lust while running her fingers through his long, damp curls.

She should’ve been ashamed, but she wasn’t. It was no secret she was having issues in her marriage. She’d been sharing intimate details with Aaron and asking him for advice, and he’d used it to his advantage. They carried on the affair for a couple of months—that was until he complicated everything. Desiree knew it was time to cut things off when he confessed he had feelings for her and announced that his relationship with the socialite was over. She tried to shut him down by saying she wouldn’t leave Jamal, but Aaron countered her logic. He told her that her marriage was a sham, and it wouldn’t last. He’d been right about both.

“Did you hear me?”

“What?” she snapped.

“Desiree, what’s going on with you?”

She rubbed her forehead. “I just told you. It’s one of my toughest mergers. I can’t even begin to explain how it has me stressed out.”

“Excuse me. You’re in my seat.”

They turned their attention to the petite woman standing in the middle of the aisle. Aaron got up and began speaking with her. Desiree watched as he pointed toward a seat two rows in front of them. The woman appeared happy since she was still getting a window seat.

Shit! It hadn’t occurred to her he would also have a seat in first class. When he sat down, Desiree grabbed his arm. “Aaron, before you got on, I was trying to get some rest. Why don’t we catch up after we land?”

He smiled. “Yes, of course. Let’s do that.”

She returned the biggest smile she could muster. He pulled out his laptop and began working. As she pressed her head deep into the headrest, Desiree silently thanked her lucky stars he didn’t object.

Still, she knew Aaron was the least of her worries. She’d left her biggest troubles standing in the middle of her living room.
