Although some pacing felt a bit slow at times—leaving me eager for a cliffhanger that wouldn’t reveal itself for several chapters—the deliberate choice ultimately enriched the complexity of the connections at play.

While there are moments of frustration with certain plot developments, the core themes of trust, fear, and resilience shine brightly, compelling readers to reflect on their own experiences. I found myself captivated by Nova’s prose, which creates a palpable atmosphere of suspense, making it hard to put the book down.
