Worth reading 😎

"You're not a crazy person, Tracy. Obsessed, maybe." An apt line to describe Tracy Crosswhite.

Better that ten guilty persons escape than that one innocent suffer.

This book just proved why this thought needn't be correct always.

Her Sister's Grave was a good-enjoyable read.

There were shares of up and down moments but were quickly back in pace.

Having read many murder mysteries before, this one was just as good as I expected it to be. Also of course there was the unanswerable question on "Why do all detectives have to have a dark past?"

Anyway, coming back

The first half of the book, was all about the backdrop of the original premise. This could have been a little less elaborate in my opinion. But, the second half will not disappoint you.

The characters were all well done, all having different temperaments and they felt real, nothing extravagant.

Well, coming to

Pros of the story:

- The whole courtroom segment for Edmund House's trial was highly engrossing and significant.

- The subtle touch of romance did not divert the actual plot of the book.

- Scenes after House's release was the time, when you just can't take your eyes off the book.

- The culprit turned out to be someone, I had personally not expected. That was a really amazing twist.

- The book ended on a good note, the last scene calms your nerves from all the thrill of the aftermath.

Cons of the story:

- The novel could've been a lot shorter, it had a lot of unnecessary drama, and by that I don't mean the romance.

- I wished there was more of DETECTIVE Tracy Crosswhite, than SISTER Tracy. I think I expected more investigation conduction by Tracy as a detective (Tracy's mind working as a detective trying to deduce all the clues, rather than a revenge-driven person). But that was felt only in the last few moments of the ending of the mystery.

End note: It was a fun read, I will give the other books in the series a shot too...
