Worth reading 😎

cute, short and a sweet read, brothers best friend trope and texting misunderstanding

Mr Wrong Number

A short read, perfect for the weekend and if you want to read something funny and unserious.

The storyline is predictable but I think that is the charm of the book, you know what you are going to get.

I did love the banter and chemistry between Liv and Colin. I honestly loved and enjoyed the starting a lot but as the book went on I thought some of the decisions Liv made were sorta stupid. But I guess that added to the whole misunderstandings angle.

Overall I would not say that this was an amazing read, but it was sweet and a good book of you just want to read something or if you are in a reading slump.

It is a pretty short book but the author did a good job giving Liv and Cole some backstory and gave us information about their family life. I honestly found it very irritating how no one addressed how Liv’s family kept pulling her down in a lot of instances throughout the book.

I did like how Cole viewed her “hot mess” behaviour not as something catastrophic because it really wasn’t but more like her living out loud and vibrantly.

You aren’t a hot mess at all, Livvie. You’re just this . . . this . . . human tornado who is so alive, so filled with the energy of the moment, that there occasionally is a little collateral damage.”
“But all the damages are worth it. They’re but a small price. I wish I lived in the moment like you do.”
“You have no idea how much I admire that about you.”

I have mixed feelings about how the book ended and how they reconciled but I won’t give any spoilers. I did like the fact that we got an epilogue and also I think I forgot to mention it before, the book has DUAL POV which I am a sucker for, so I enjoyed that particular element of the book.

All in all an okay read so 3/5
