Loved it! 😍

For the artists, the writers, and the gardeners among us, this book is for you! No matter your age, you will be uplifted and transformed.

Synopsis

This book examines our life’s two most important questions: who am I and where am I going? Its unique artistic collaborative approach is formatted into ten Master Values chronicled through the decades of our lives. Its purpose is to jump start procrastination and sharpen focus by providing inspirational quotes, artwork, and poetry with a means to transform and enlighten as you slow down, think mindfully, and create. It highlights the changes in nature and artistic expression as means to fully express your vision. A beautiful artifact is created to be shared with others with the end result a gift-to yourself, for yourself and the world.

What a gift the author, Maria Wheeler, has given to us! From her artistic renderings to her words of art, we are prompted to delve into our pasts, our present, and our future selves. Put your imagination on, your thinking caps too, get ready to center yourself and prayerfully consider where you've come from and just where it is you are going.

A coming of age no matter what your age. From 10 to 100 there is life to be lived! You are becoming and being made new in time with the seasons. It's true!

A journal like no other in that you will be prompted to draw, write, and consider. To reflect and project and sit quietly as you soak in your surroundings. To pause within the swirling every day going's on within life and to pray for eyes that observe and see into the heart of yourself, that of your home, and especially the great outdoors.

A book where you express yourself in such a way as to leave behind a gift for others to treasure. A book that will help you to clarify and embrace your many facets. To rejoice within your present age and to look forward to the future without fear.

A journal that provides broad sweeping prompts for you to interpret as you may. There is no wrong or right there is just you at the end of the night represented on each page.

I look forward to purchasing this for my friends that garden and dream and write and pursue all the things within this middle-aged stage of life. There are decades behind us and Lord-willing decades ahead to still be had. This book offers the gift of organized thoughts and imagery to go along with our dreams that have yet to come true. A gift of hope and of doing, of reflection and pursuing; a gift of opening our eyes to the truth that surrounds us, to get to the heart of the matter, and to pursue life purposefully and gracefully. A gift of going in for the purpose of going out having been changed. Becoming more confident and sure of our footing.

My only critique would be a font that lends itself to cursive handwriting also lends itself to be hard to read at times. Although the romantic, dreamy quality of it has its benefits, for those with eyes a little worn by age, perhaps a handwritten font of a different typeset might be a better choice?

A good read, good use of time, a gift that's divine. A solid 4-stars!

Reading books and writing reviews brings with it every emotion under the sun; forever changing, forever changed, and I wouldn't have it any other way. May my words not only help fellow readers but also the authors of the books we read.
