Synopsis

Misery loves company. Certainly, the 1 in 8 women who struggle with infertility are desperate for stories that mirror their own experiences and for reassurance that they're not alone. Women who are TTC (Trying to Conceive) are hungry for honest narratives that don't whitewash their chronic grief but offer a hope that endures, no matter the outcome. Life After Infertility provides encouragement through the power of story and gentle biblical insight for women facing infertility. Its narrative, book-club feel will help readers work through their own shame, grief, and doubt while pointing them toward the truth of God’s faithfulness in every story. Above it all, Life After Infertility contains the humorous and heart-wrenching stories of a seasoned survivor. It is a narrative that will inspire you to overcome TTC’s unexpected challenges with a new sense of courage and determination.

Never having difficulty with getting pregnant myself, this story pulled - no riped - at my heart. Sarah and Mark’s story is so honest and utterly open that I cried openly for every woman who is struggling with infertility.   I am on the “other side” having been blessed with a fertile womb and two children. The first few chapters were difficult because Sarah leaves nothing out.  Her writing is raw and holds nothing back. It was uncomfortable. But there was also humor and her writing drew me into her life in a way that was refreshing. I wanted to understand and know what it was really like so that I could be more compassionate, I would know what to say or at the least learn how to give comfort. I have been the one who says stupid things to couples struggling with infertility. I'm always searching for the right words and praying that God would allow me to be His voice.  I only want to be supportive and to give hope.  Sarah opened the way of understanding.  Life After Infertility helped me to realize that offering love is all that is necessary.  This was eye opening for me.  A MUST READ not only for those who a facing infertility but also for their family and friends.  As someone who seeks to love and care, to understand God’s plan and fully trust in His divine purpose, I still have a lot to learn.  Thank you Sarah for the education and the tenderness, but most of all your example of faithfulness.  I hope I can now give better love to those in my life who are struggling with infertility.  There is indeed hope.
