Must read 🏆

A breathtaking novel giving its way to giddy romances, shuddering combats and jaw slacking twists. A must read!

It is that kind of book I'd exchange my soul to read for the first time.

If you are searching for a fantasy with perfect world building, strong main character, a toe curling romance subplot, and some of the most horrifying plot twists...this is the book for you, my friend.

The story revolves around a 16 year old black girl, Bree Matthews. Struggling against the sudden loss of her mother, she ends up in the backseat of police car on her very first night at her university. But there is something more....a thought Bree can't shake no matter what. She saw something that night - A magical attack and she is convinced it was all true.

A boy comes in way.

A blonde, ever charming kid whose more that just a student.

Questions arise.

Was Bree's mother's death a simple accident? Or something more?

Soon she finds herself in a world one can only imagine

To find out the truth of her roots.

On her way, she discovers the strengths she possesses

That may seem threats to some

Forcing her to hide, keep her head down

But her fate leads her elsewhere.

This marks her bittersweet journey based on the marvelous fictions of King Arthur and his knights. Fighting against monsters, goruchels, imps and hellhounds, she makes friends, makes enemies and falls in love with soon to be king of world too livid to be real. She meets the Kingsmage...the sworn protector of the order. The Kingsmage named Selwyn Kane who absolutely without any doubt loathes Bree, never letting her leave the circle of suspicion. Can she be a monster too? Shapeshifted to be among them? Watch as they become from enemies to uncertain friends...and the tension between them is enough to give anyone butterflies and throw their book across the room.

I adore this book to the moon and back!!! No words could tell how much I love it. It has made me cry, laugh and blush at silly moments. I admit it, it ended up thrown against my wall so many times. Dude! How does the author knows how to ignite that hope, then break you, then fix you, the again give you hope and the cycle continues. This is a book with many tiny plot twists (I swear I never saw coming!! SOoo good) tied along the way that won't let your heartbeat slow down. I had been so indulged in it the whole time, I began living in the book. It made me forget the reality, honestly. I was sobbing that I don't want to finish this book yet couldn't put it down.

Also, I loved how the author has portrayed inclusivity and shown a glimpse against reality. How people judged the main character and called her unworthy just because of her race and gender just to end up being flipped a middle finger. Bree is a total badass...and I love her with all my heart and soul.

GO READ IT NOW, PEOPLE!!! You still have the chance to read it for the first time (Someone mesmer me please)
