Nino is a small platypus with big problems, which adds to the enigma since platypuses are not very common. In any case, Nino believes he doesn't have anything going in his favor, and, even though, Nino is brave in his mind, when he faces the bigger kids, he shrinks back and loses courage. That's until he meets a genie, who works no magic tricks! The genie will show the bullies who they really are, and give Nino the confidence to pursue his dreams.
The pictures in this book are beautiful and detailed. They capture the essence of the story and the personality of each character. The plot moves along at an even pace and the pictures help to build the suspense and drama. Well-done!
