A story for the hopeless romantics who wants to meet the one follw Laura as she finds her soulmate on a cab ride to Jersey Island.
"You have to believe in a little magic when it comes to matters of the heart."
Ever since I heard the title, I wanted to read it. It was such a romantic name that I knew I have to read & I will love it.
And I was right.
Laura came to Jersey to write about the coin that lead her parents together. At the airport, she took a stranger's bag by mistake. When she opens it in the hotel, she finds out he is her ideal type who has the same taste in music and books as her. Now she is on a cab journey around the island to find her soulmate.
This was such a cute story. I couldn't stop gushing over it as I read in a single day.
As a mostly thriller read and someone who had been on a reading slump for the last few weeks, Just haven't Met You Yet was just the pick me up I needed.
One of the things that I really liked about this book is how self-aware it was. It was funny and cute. Though it was all sweet and charming it also had a deep emotional depth about love, life, and loss. And a bit of Suki's craziness just ties up together perfectly.
That being said, I was expecting it to be something more. It was such an interesting premise and the first half of the book was absolutely amazing. And I was expecting so much from it cause of my high expectation from the name, that the romance felt less to me. I wanted more of them. More moments, more chemistry, and more electricity.
As an introvert, books are my escape from my boring life.
