Synopsis
It’s been a year since college senior Mila Kozak watched her sister Anya’s tragic accident on course at WEF. Since then, nothing has been the same. Her relationship with her sister is as shattered as Anya’s paralyzed body. Her boyfriend of two years dumped her out of the blue and, even though she’s doing everything she can to win him back, he won’t give her the time of day. And her favorite thing in the world - show jumping - is tainted by the crippling fear she’ll end up like Anya.
Mila wants nothing more than to be her old life-of-the-party, live-in-the-moment self. But no matter what she does, she’s not that Mila anymore.
When Mila rescues her friend and barnmate, Alex, from Immigration police, it sets them on a trajectory that’s as surprising as it is electrifying.
But when everything Mila holds dear is threatened yet again, will she make the jump and land where she’s meant to be?
Set in the world of competitive show jumping, JUMP is a new adult romance about falling in love, facing your fears and building your own happily-ever-after.
The book's main theme is that success requires a person to be willing to take risks and leave their comfort zone. Harvey emphasizes that taking no risks and playing things safe are guaranteed ways to remain stagnant in life and pass up chances for advancement and achievement. He emphasizes that although taking chances can be frightening, doing so is essential to progress and achieving one's objectives.
Harvey also emphasizes the need of having a distinct vision for one's goals in life. He exhorts readers to set objectives and formulate a strategy for achieving them. He contends that having a clear vision of one's goals and visualizing success helps inspire and motivate people to take action in the direction of their objectives.
Harvey's discussion of the importance of faith in achieving achievement is among the book's most insightful passages. He says that overcoming fear and self-doubt can be made easier by having faith in one's abilities, oneself, and a greater force. Additionally, he makes the case that having a strong sense of purpose and meaning in life can be a tremendous motivator for achievement.
The theme of endurance and resilience in the face of adversity is another key message in the book. Harvey understands that success is not always simple and that failures and setbacks are a normal part of the path. But he emphasises how crucial it is to remain dedicated to one's objectives and never give up, especially in the face of difficulty. He encourages readers to embrace their mistakes as lessons acquired and to take advantage of them as chances to develop and get better.
Harvey illustrates his views and offers relatable instances of his own problems and successes throughout the book by using personal experiences and stories. His narratives are interesting and funny, and they emphasize the value of acting and enduring hardship.
