I love dogs so It’s OK to be a puppy instantly caught my attention. I used to read a lot of books about dogs when I was a little girl so this book took me right back to my childhood and I am so happy that I was able to read this book because I loved it. Despite the fact that I’m not within the target audience for this book, I quite enjoyed reading it. It’s OK to be a puppy is beautifully written and has a beautiful message. The illustrations by Osipova Svetlana are absolutely stunning and help brings the story to life. I really only had good things to say about It’s OK to be a puppy by Tom Murdoch.
Since I picked it up, I’ve read It’s OK to be a puppy a few times already, first on my own and also with my younger brother, and I cannot recommend it enough. We both loved it, and I can confirm that whether you’re twenty-four or eight, you will enjoy it. It’s OK to be a puppy is a great book for children (and adults). Personally, I will be getting my younger brother his own copy he can read whenever he wants.
It’s OK to be a puppy really took me back to my reading roots. If it hadn’t been for all the books about dogs I asked my parents to buy for me, I would not be the reader I am today. I would recommend this book to all parents who want to introduce their children to reading as this is a beautiful, short story. Also, highly recommended to anyone who loves dogs and pretty much everyone in between.
I love reading and sharing my thoughts with others to encourage them to read something they might not know existed or perhaps had some misconceptions about the work. I also love discovering the hidden gems of the literary world.
