Hoppetuss & the Language of the Forest will be an enjoyable read for young ones. It will help develop a childlike curiosity that will propel them forward for years to come. Pick up a copy of this book at your local bookstore!
This picture book describes how children can find their calling by paying attention to their instincts. In this story, Anton hears a voice calling to him from in the forest. This starts Anton on a journey that can only be described as magical.
The storytelling in this book is interesting, and children will enjoy exploring nature with Anton. However, Anton wonders off on his own, which could be a little scary for some parents.
The pictures are beautifully done. Though Anton is pictured as an elf, he looks more like a smurf because of his blue overcoat. Smurfs, in North American culture, are considered good creatures. While some elves carry a reputation for craftiness, most do not. Nevertheless, Anton appears to be a likable character in his pictures.
I would recommend this book to any young reader. It is motivating and supported by pictures that are beautiful and accessible to all its readers. It offers advice on how children can live their best life by paying attention to the things that come naturally to them!
