I think all the Harry Potter books are worth the read, but there were very few that I loved. this was one of them.

I was expecting more of each and all of the Harry Potter books and specially out of Lord Voldemort, but I realize now that the story had very little to do with Voldemort at all. Harry Potter is mostly about life at Hogwarts and because this is the book with the least amount of Hogwarts in it I liked it the best. What a like about the books compared to the films is the character work. The characters in the movies are only a shadow of the characters in the books, I think this is the first time that we see our beloved trio out in the real world and I really liked that. I like that everything in this book felt earned and established beforehand.

I liked this book. Other books in the series felt like strictly set-up or filled with fluff and padded with a lot of information that slowed down the plot. looking back I can appreciate having had that, but as an entertainment experience I think that the last book in the series stands up above most of the other ones.
