Sabrina wakes up one morning thinking her day would be nothing special. However, an evil witch who is very angry at the rainbow has a different plan: to delete all the rainbow colors from the world, one by one. The witch’s wicked acts prompt Sabrina to jump into action! In this fast-paced, fun, and colorful story, children will learn that to accomplish something great, we sometimes must face our biggest fears. They will also come to understand that the best time to appreciate things we hold dear is right now.
Goodbye, Colors is a fun and colorful story about a little girl who conquers her fears and fights an evil witch.
One morning, Sabrina wakes up and hears a loud sound. When she looks outside, an evil witch is sitting on the ground with her glasses and nose in her hand. She had bumped into the rainbow and now is really mad. She decides to get rid of all the colors in the rainbow.
Sabrina tries to stop the evil witch. One by one the colors disappear until Sabrina thinks of a plan. But, one part of the plan will force Sabrina to face a fear of hers.
Children enjoy stories with witches and monsters so they will have fun reading this one. It is great the author uses a female main character - this will teach children that girls are strong and brave. Children will also learn to face their fears and learn that sometimes life will put them in a position that they will have no choice but to conquer their fears. And once they do, nothing can stop them.
Younger children will learn the colors of the rainbow and the various objects associated with those colors. Blue sky. Red apple. Green avocados.
The illustrations are absolutely beautiful. You will definitely want to pick up the book and read it simply based on the cover and illustrations. They are colorful, soft, and bright. Even the pages that are black are not scary.
Overall, a nice story with eye-catching illustrations . Good job by the author and illustrator!
