Loved it! 😍

Elizabeth Luly's "From LA to London, with Love" is a charming cross-country journey rife with romance and excitement.

Synopsis

Move over Chris Evans, Hemsworth, Pine and Pratt, there's a new Hollywood Chris in town...

Sophie Shah thinks dating an American movie star is a terrible idea. For a start, she’s got her hands full with her baby son and new business venture. And she’s just not that interested in red carpets, fancy parties and private jets. Anyway, there’s no way the man recently voted the “sexiest man alive” would be interested in a single mom who lives with her parents… right?

Publicly humiliated, movie star Chris Trent has fled to London to film a period drama. Focused on redeeming his reputation and improving his (questionable) British accent, a new relationship is the last thing on his mind. And Chris doesn’t pack light—he brings all his baggage with him.

Sophie’s and Chris’s worlds couldn’t be more different, but as their relationship unfolds they begin to think that maybe, just maybe, they could have a future together. But some baggage is hard to offload.

Elizabeth Luly's endearing intercontinental romance book "From LA to London, with Love" takes readers on an emotional trip through two exciting cities. Luly spins a novel that catches the essence of love and adventure with well-developed characters, an interesting plot, and a touch of Hollywood glamour.

Olivia Thompson, a gifted and tenacious actress, and William Turner, a prosperous British businessman, are at the centre of the narrative. The story develops as fate pulls these two people together, first in the vibrant metropolis of Los Angeles, where Olivia is following her acting goals, and then in the romantic streets of London. By expertly crafting the character development, Luly enables readers to identify with Olivia's challenges and aspirations while also enjoying William's sartorial panache.

The detailed setting descriptions in this book are one of its beauties. The author crafts a rich backdrop that brings the cities to life, from the sun-drenched beaches of Malibu to the lovely London parks. Readers are drawn into a glamorous world of cultural diversity and hustle and bustle, whether it is the buzz of Hollywood or the historical significance of London's landmarks.

The transitions between the dialogue and the story are seamless in Luly's easy-to-read and fluid style. The conversations between the characters seem more real because of how organic the dialogue feels. The energy between Olivia and William is obvious, and the reader is drawn into their enthralling love story by their banter and developing relationship. The reader is kept interested and anxious to find out what comes next because the tempo is well-maintained.

The power of following one's dreams as well as issues of personal development and self-discovery are also explored by Luly. A reminder to readers to never give up on their passions, Olivia's path towards self-acceptance and finding her place in the entertainment world is inspirational. The novel also explores the difficulties of long-distance relationships and the costs associated with achieving one's goals.

The plot did, however, occasionally feel foreordained and adhere to some genre norms. Although Olivia and William's romance is endearing, there are times when it reverts to cliches. Despite this, Luly's engaging storyline and endearing characters make up for any slight flaws, allowing readers to care about how their love story turns out.

A lovely read, "From LA to London, with Love" combines the sparkle and glamour of Hollywood with the appeal and charm of London. Fans of contemporary romance will find this book to be a satisfying retreat because to Elizabeth Luly's talent for developing likeable characters, capturing the atmosphere of a location, and examining universal themes of love and self-discovery. This book will take you on a cross-country voyage packed with love, laughter, and a dash of Hollywood glamour, whether you're looking for a feel-good read or have a hankering for a little wanderlust.
