From LA to London, Elizabeth Luly's Love with Love is a delightful romance that takes us on a transcontinental journey. The book tells the story of Emma, a young actress from LA who travels to London to shoot a movie. Emma is excited to explore the city and immerse herself in British culture, but falling in love is the last thing on her mind. But fate has other plans for dynamic and independent protagonist Laura, an aspiring fashion designer from Los Angeles. She received her job offer from one of London's leading fashion houses, but wondered if she should give up her life in LA to pursue her dreams in London. I'm not sure. This novel is filled with love, ambition, and a combination of emotions that keeps the reader glued to the page.
The author does a great job creating interesting characters and their personalities are well developed.Laura is an ambitious and determined young woman who knows what she wants in her life I know what She puts her passion into what she does and puts her heart and soul into it. Her temperament and her zest for life are contagious and make her a lovable character. On the other hand, Laura's boss in London, Victoria, is a bit strict in her demeanor but ultimately proves to be a nice person. , compelling, and his interactions with Laura are the highlights of the book.
The plot revolves around Laura's journey to London, her challenges at her new job, and her search for true love. The narration is engaging and engaging, giving readers a glimpse into how the fashion industry works. The author's descriptions of various locations in LA and London are vivid and realistic, clearly delineating the locations visited by the protagonist. The pacing of the story is well executed with a balanced mix of dialogue, backstory and action.
One of the things that sets "From LA to London" apart from Love is the perfect blend of romance and ambition. The author successfully portrays a young artist's struggle to break through in a highly competitive industry while exploring Laura's budding relationship with Marco. The chemistry between Laura and Marco is evocative, and the romantic twists in the book are sweet and heartwarming.
However, the book is not without its weaknesses. Some supporting characters lacked depth and were just there to support the main character. Their meaning is not fleshed out and their roles remain somewhat superficial.In addition, some scenes felt rushed and some dialogue felt unnatural.
All in all, From Los Angeles to London With Love is a beautiful novel that successfully blends ambition and romance. The story is engaging, the characters are interesting, and the setting is captivating. Elizabeth Lurie has done a wonderful job of combining romance and ambition in a way that resonates with readers. A book that will make you smile.
