This is an adorable story that can help kids get up and get active as well as introduce them to dance.
Boisterous bats, zany zombies, and giddy ghosts await readers in this tale of sibling friendship, silly creatures, and magical music.
In the Dance-It-Out series, created by an award-winning dance teacher, children act and move alongside the characters, and Ballerina Konora joins each page with movement suggestions. In this story, Fynn, Freya, cats, bats, ghosts, and zombies assemble for a captivating story of music, magic, and mayhem.
Freya, Fynn and the Fantastic Flute is a picture book based on a story by Marjorie Thompson. It is part of a series by Once Upon a Dance. Ballerina Konora is featured in the photos that act out the story.
This is an adorable story that can help kids get up and get active as well as introduce them to dance. Freya and Fynn visit their Aunt at her beachside cottage while their mom stays home and works. The sister and brother have heard rumors about noises in Aunt Gail's attic. During this visit, they really want to find out if the rumors are true and what could possibly be making the sounds.
In addition to the cute story and lovely illustrations, there are also instructions and photos to help kids act out the story. This is great for kinesthetic learners who need to be actively involved.
Warning: this story includes a magical flute which some may find offensive. It also includes illustrations of ghosts, bats, and zombies. I did not find the illustrations frightening, but there might be those who want to avoid these types of images.
This picture book would be great for a home library as well as a daycare or school setting. It can appeal to auditory, visual, and kinesthetic learners.
I have been reviewing books as a hobby since 2009. When Amazon invited me to be a Vine voice, I realized that I had a skill I should try to market. I enjoy reading and reviewing and look forward to helping other reader find a book that fits them.
