Enemies to lovers, grumpy x sunshine, sports, queer, age gap, character depth

EVERYTHING FOR YOU

Ok so this book. THIS BOOK. I have already read the other books in the Bergman brothers series and let me tell you they are all AMAZING and this one did not disappoint.

A queer love story between two soccer players, enemies to lovers, grumpy x sunshine and an age gap. The recipe for an amazing book. Also did I mention it’s DUAL POV and the author has made a playlist so that u feel the vibes. DONT EVEN FINISH READING THIS REVIEW GO AND START READING THE BERGMAN BROTHERS SERIES.

Well if you are still here I will know tell you why I loved this book.

Firstly the family dynamics(which have been my fav throughout the series) secondly the depth of the characters we get such a beautiful insight into the thinking of both characters and honestly I LOVE them. They are cinnamon rolls and must be protected. But also you make a connection with them by the end of the book and want what’s best for them which just shows how amazing the writing is.

I like how Gavin and Ollie’s relationship progresses and they break down their walls and let each other in and start to depend on each other. I love how they start falling in love with each other’s quirks and I love the communication and bond they have by the end. Also special mention to the scene when Gavin helps with Oliver’s anxiety.

If you cry easily while reading you are definitely going to cry reading this one, not because it’s heartbreaking but because it’s so beautiful and it leaves you with a warm fuzzy feeling.

Also the love confessions *SWOON*

“I promise it all—my body, my soul, my life, for you, everything for you, to care for you and love you, if you’ll let me. You’re the fucking sunrise of my heart, love. All I need is to wake up beside you, to hold your hand and keep you steady when you need me, to watch you with pride and admiration, to give you hell for not being more selfish on the field and too generous off of it. I love you.

So no surprise it’s a 5/5 from me.

GO READ IT. GO SHOOO.
