Loved it! 😍

The most authentic wild west tale of drama rhymin' fun that has ever crossed That There Hill & Yonder River to delight children everywhere!

Synopsis

Drawkcab Brown ventures west. Meets an outlaw on his quest. Will he save the day again? Or this time will the villain win? One will triumph; one will retreat; when Drawkcab Brown Meets Yuck Mouth Pete!

This rhyming children's book delivers story time fun for parents and children alike, while teaching a lesson on the perils of meanness.

This book is going on my favorite bookshelf to be read over and over again and that's coming from me as a mom! What a wild rompin', amazingly good time, one can have out in the wild west when words are a rhymin' and good and bad meet up to find out who will come out on top! This is a heart-pounding, word-driven, wild-galloping, good time with a moral at the end that ties this book up all nice with a lasso and a bow.

This book is great for a mom to read-aloud to her kids and great for kids to read aloud to themselves. Most definitely not meant to be read silently! It's too fun to be read within one's head. The magic is found within the read-aloud where you can put on an accent and share in the joy of old, wild west speak.

There's an unusual twist too! Where there's an animal that one of the main characters comes into town a-ridin' that you won't see a-comin'! It's so fun and it embodies the best of what children's books have to offer, imagination.

Everything within this book works so very well together. The rhymes are flawless and the storyline powerful without being preachy. It's nothing but fun with the last line packing a punch and leaving you with the strongest of satisfactory, long-lasting lingerings of pondering and gold-standard knowledge to embrace.

This book gets a five-star rating for the storyline and rhymes but I had to knock that back to four-stars because of the illustrations. While the illustrations are fun and do embody the characters well enough, the pictures provided bring the story down instead of lifting it up. With writing that's literally flawless, you need the illustrations to match!

My children's reaction to the story is as follows: My 13-year-old son gave it 4-stars and my 12-year-old daughter gave it 3. Both knocked off stars due to the illustrations. My 9-year-old daughter gave it 4-stars also because of the illustrations whereas my 8-year-old son gave it 5-stars because the story was just that fun and amazing!

All-in-all, you cannot go wrong in purchasing this book for your family. It's a crowd-pleaser and a book that will be universally beloved by all who encounter it. A children's book that is for kids of all ages to include parents and grandparents who are young at heart too.

Reading books and writing reviews brings with it every emotion under the sun; forever changing, forever changed, and I wouldn't have it any other way. May my words not only help fellow readers but also the authors of the books we read.
