An amazing prequel to The Archon of Peace. This book is focused on the journey of Viroe, one of the characters in the story.
I reached out to the author sometime February to volunteer and review his upcoming book after a social media announcement. I am fond of the characters of the first book and have decided to follow Punzalan and his succeeding publications.
As mentioned in my other review, I am a blogger (also a new mom) and a foodie. I have just started my journey as a book reviewer early this year to destress and divert my attention from current events and other personal problems. I am going to share my review on the Desert Outcast and use the 10 point system.
ARTWORK 10/10
The guy on the cover is Viroe. He is handsome and that is all. Read the book to learn more about this charming soab.
CONTENT 9/10
Unlike The Archon of Peace, this book focuses only to one particular group. Since I am not allowed to spoil anything in this review as per policy, I shall not divulge anything further but there is an adventure in every chapter. I enjoyed it so much!
EDITING 7/10
I spotted some errors with punctuation and tense. However, this is still debatable as it depends on many factors. Does it throw me off and completely affect my ability to assess this book? No. But it can be improved.
OVERALL 8/10
Reading Desert Outcast is like a lego piece that fits the picture. After finishing the book, I remember having a five minute lag as I try to absorb everything. It is insane but you are required to finish book 1 prior to reading this. It's war love. They be going to war!
"Viroe is charming and everyone understands."
