Must read 🏆

G.G. Collins does a fantastic job weaving this mystery into the normal lives of her characters.

Dead editor File is as it says about a dead editor. GG is very good at causing you to like her characters right away, even the bad tempered ones. The story wasn't complicated but it was rich.

The story takes place in Santa Fe, New Mexico and by the end of the story I was considering moving there. I could envision everything clearly as she described the city, the mountains, the food, what people wore, what their personalities were like, the difference between the locals and the tourist, and all the things that drew the tourists to that small city. It was all very fascinating without being complicated.

I especially liked how she personalized each of the characters that worked for the editor they had found dead. Her heroine is no sleuth just a woman who cares and seems to be in the wrong places at the wrong time. I really liked Taylor Browning.

It was nice to read something that was genuinely entertaining, fresh and down to earth. I am currently reading the next book and am enjoying it as well. I would highly recommend this series to anyone, its suitable for all ages and positively a pleasant experience.
