Must read 🏆

A Gripping Romantic Drama Read Like No Other... When two people meet from two different worlds and one has a past, is it a deal-breaker?

How can you know that when two people meet, they will become soulmates?

Can a marriage be all about "Happily Ever After?"

Or can the past come back and haunt you?

And can it destroy your family?

This is just the beginning, and what you find lying within the pages of the authors' release of "Despite the Devil." A must-read to find out how it all ends. As the story opens, Stephanie meets Andrew, and a romance begins and blossoms into a beautiful marriage. As they begin having a family and making a life together, something from Andrew's past is lingering. But issues begin to unfold, and the story intensifies from there. Andrew's ex-wife, Roberta, begins causing them grief at every opportunity. Even while all of the constant court orders, legalities, more money demand

Even though Andrew and Stephaine are from two different countries, Andrew was not forthcoming about his ex, as issues come to light quite early in the book. Clearly, it isn’t a big problem initially, but how Stephanie copes with it remains to be seen.

No spoilers, but I can tell you Ms. Shawna James is my new favorite contemporary romance author after reading this intense fictional drama like no other. An exceptionally well-written book with twists and turns within the storyline you don't see coming. I wanted more! I hear book two of her this collection has just been released, so I'm in LUCK!

The characters are well developed and relatable. The format was perfect as the author cleverly weaves into this story many different elements and issues that real people face today and shedding light on the multicultural differences within courts/justice, family law, women, and social issues. Brilliant!

I enjoyed the several "Ah-Hah" moments about the woven social issues that differ from the United States, compared to Canada. Highly recommend the book to everyone.
