Loved it! 😍

A Far Wilder Magic was a thrill to read, with robust exciting characters that developed along the way to unique world lore. A place set with unease as the town sets up for the end in hopes of cathing the Hala, the last known of its kind, a being created by God himself. It is packed with an alchemical world where religion has everything to do with it. The world built felt authentic as I stepped into it. and the religious aspect and how the author tied it into the world piqued my interest. The author wrote fantastically albeit the pacing at the beginning was a little slow, but it made up for it in the end. The main characters were likable and well-rounded, having their faults but learning through them over time as the book progressed. I actually cared about them and what they meant to each other. Their dynamic with each other didn't feel forced as many romance subplots do these days just to get people to pick up the books. The plot itself was sweet and nice, at times it can be a little predictable here and there as a YA fantasy novel, but it wasn't necessarily something to complain about as from time to time I wondered what may happen next. I also want to say how gorgeous the cover is of this book as not only do I love the artist that illustrated it but I feel it catches the reader and captures what the author wanted the tone of the book. As someone who loves book covers, it stands out from the others that share its space on bookshelves. I think Overall if you love a simple easy-to-follow fantasy with romantic undertones, this book is for you. It is decently paced with likable characters and an interesting plot that adds something new to the Ya fantasy genre.
