📚 Overview

Writing commercial fiction doesn’t mean being prescriptive; some of the biggest breakout novels of the last decade owe their success to bringing fresh new perspectives to the tropes of their genre.

In this Monday Masterclass, editor Abbie Greaves will break down what readers and publishers are really looking for from commercial fiction. You’ll gain an understanding of different narrative frameworks, and clear strategies for finding exciting new inroads into established genres.

  • Strategies for adapting tropes and archetypes in your writing
  • How to write an original story that still fits within marketable categories

There will also be a live Q&A where you can ask Abbie any questions about writing commercial fiction or developing original storylines.
