Masterclass
The Rule of Three
Registration has now closed
📚 Overview
Over the holiday period, we will be bringing you pre-recorded masterclasses from the Reedsy Learning archive.
Dating all the way back to Aristotle, the rule of three is commonly seen in how stories are plotted, from the three-act structure to John Yorke’s theory of story DNA. In this masterclass, Tom Bromley will break down how the rule of three relates to storytelling and writing. Drawing on examples from classic and contemporary literature, Tom will show you how you can use the rule of three for emphasis, expectation, and rhythm in your writing.
