The son of a retired college English professor and academic administrator, you could say that I was born to edit. I want to bring my passion for editing to your next project.

After getting an English degree at Connecticut College and spending a year teaching English in Madrid, Spain, I ventured to New York City to become a professional wordsmith. My first job was editing at Barnes & Noble Publishing under the tutelage of renowned YA author, Maureen Johnson. Above all else, she taught me how to have fun while working hard. That’s been my professional ethos ever since.

My next stop was a 10-year stint in the media industry, where I had a blast as a print editor, web editor, web producer, and senior online producer for esteemed publications such as Adweek and Daily Racing Form. I left the latter on good terms and launched my own freelance editing and writing business. I opened The Brooklyn Bureau and never looked back.

I now split my time between writing for reputable publications such as Playboy, Condé Nast Traveler, and Men’s Health; and editing, both in the media and book publishing world. I recently had the pleasure of editing content on Condé Nast Traveler’s website; and doing a deep-edit of author K.C. Landers’ latest manuscripts for her popular series, “Hello, Doobie.”

Let’s have some fun.
