Virginia Bowen

Virginia Bowen – Editor

I'll help you put out your best possible book in your unique voice. Experienced in all genres of fiction and nonfiction, and love memoirs.

Overview

I have solid experience from nearly a decade of full-time freelance editing in both fiction and nonfiction, on books, journal articles, blogs, and websites. I love good stories and have worked in virtually all genres from ghostwriting and editing children's books to editing various nonfiction works, to writing and editing erotic fiction. The listed categories below are just a portion of those I have extensive experience in. My favorite category of nonfiction work is memoirs, because I believe everyone has a story to tell, and I truly want to help them share it with the world.

Few things thrill me as much as the joyous feedback from authors who have found my edits to be helpful in shaping their work into an excellent read. I pride myself on providing outstanding editing that blends seamlessly with the author's own unique voice.

Here's a handful of examples of feedback I've received from satisfied writers:

"Once I started to read through the edit, I knew it was the best money I have ever spent. Virginia did such a great job and explained why she did what she did. I can't be happier with her work." –Jonathan Giddinge, Kings of Braxton: Born Unto Trouble

"I cannot thank you enough for your hard work. I know this is your business, but the satisfaction I have felt as a writer working with you has been almost overwhelming. So delightful to work with you." –Kevin Quiles, MDiv, MA

"You've done a wonderful job. Your editing work went above and beyond your ordinary duties, I can tell, from the way you commented and the way you fixed every single little detail on each and every one of those words. I'm touched by your outpouring efforts and supports. It's a much needed lift of confidence and polishing for my first book, a dream comes true for me as first-time author." –Richard Le, Perfect Second Serve: Secrets World-Class Players Don’t Want You to Know

"I couldn't be more pleased with your editing." – Paul Hauser, Inherently Dangerous

"I'm very pleased with your editing service…You really nailed it!" –Cynthia Fridsma, Ghost Stories

"The edited version seems perfect thus far. Thanks for all of the feedback. It has really helped me develop my writing more as well." –Shamiro Anita

"Thank you so much for the amazing editing service you provided." –K. L. Gomez, Higher Self-Confidence
